Herbert Klassen, Head of Berlin Schools

Herbert Klassen was born in Paraguay to German parents. He studied Geography and History in Canada and has 34 years of experience as a teacher and Head of School. He has worked for the government of Bahamas and was teacher and Councilor for all NATO schools in Germany, Holland and Belgium. Before joining us he was Head of four schools in Canada.



Holger Beckmann, Head of Secondary School

Holger Beckmann is a secondary school teacher for English and German. After he completed his studies in Hamburg, Bremen, Portsmouth and Seattle he was teaching in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Pori (Finland). From 2003 to 2004 he was IB-coordinator in Sydney. He lived in New York from 2006 to 2009 and besides his teaching at the United Nations he was responsible for several UN projects. He is Head of Secondary School  at Phorms Campus Mitte since August 2012.



Stephanie Jansen, Head of Primary School

Stephanie Jansen has studied Japanese Studies and Political Science at the University of Tübingen and was an exchange student at Ritsumeikan University of Kyoto. She has taught in both Germany and Japan. She was one of the first teachers to join our school at Berlin Mitte in 2006 and was actively involved in setting up the first Phorms School.



Jessica Boknecht, Head of Nursery

After her training as a nursery school teacher and a year abroad in England and France Jessica Boknecht studied social management in Switzerland. She was head of international and bilingual nursery schools. After 9 years in Switzerland she returned to Germany and lastly acted as the head of a therapeutic pedagogy center.



Elke Adam, Business Manager

Elke Adam studied history at Martin Luther University in Halle where she also obtained her degree. She worked as a business manager of a retail store and gained experience in project work. Before joining Phorms in December 2011, she worked as a business manager for an education provider which manages several nurseries.



Pia Moutsinga, Admissions Counsellor

Pia Moutsinga grew up in Berlin where she completed her professional training as tax consultant and worked as a volunteer for the Sportjugend Berlin. She was one of the first Phorms employees who joined the inauguration of Campus Berlin Mitte. Her first position at Phorms was assistant of the School Administration.
